AN9 easy camera angles for better storytelling👇
📸 Camera angles are all about capturing different feelings and information in a way that moves the story forward in a suspenseful and logical way.
Here’s my intention behind each angle used in this video:
1. GROUND LEVEL - Initiate movement towards door after knock
2. POV - Suspenseful approach
3. EXTREME CLOSE UP - Climax suspense/fear looking through peephole
4. PEEPHOLE - Comedic relief of tension
5. LOW ANGLE - Angled up from the door handle, leading into the next close up
6. CLOSE UP - Initiate fast sequence of door opening
7. TOP DOWN - Unconventional perspective that we don’t normally see with our eyes
8. GROUND UP - The reverse of the previous shot (different but feels cohesive)
9. MEDIUM WIDE - Captures context above waist while still focusing on the facial expression
🎧 Sound design also plays a huge role in shaping how these angles feel, but that’s a topic for another video :)
