2. Use your legs — power comes from the ground, not just arms
3. Stable base — stay balanced through the shot
4. Grip control — find your ideal (eastern/semi-western for 2HBH)
5. Lead with your non-dominant hand (for 2-handed backhand)
6. Keep the racket head up before contact
7. Contact point in front of your body
8. Smooth acceleration — don’t rush, build the swing
9. Full follow-through — finish high and controlled

CHTiming and footwork have to be perfect (“tennis perfect” which is what we’re all chasing) when playing against a tennis wall. Of course we know the wall always wins, it never tires, it won’t break down, it “feeds” the ball back to you exactly as it was served. I wish there were more walls in the bay area!! This one is 15 min away from me. Do you play against a tennis wall?
