VIHere is what I’d do ⬇️⬇️
(Read till the end - this might save you years of struggle.)
When I began, I made the same mistake everyone makes...
I rushed into the charts, found a strategy on
•YouTube, took trades randomly, and expected to get rich.
So if I had to start over from scratch, here’s the step-by-step plan l’d follow:
1. Master Market Structure First
Before any indicator, l’d spend weeks learning price action, Because if you don’t understand why price moves, no strategy will save you.
2. Pick One Strategy and Stick With It Not ten. Not five. Just ONE.
I’d test it thoroughly and understand its conditions, risk, and logic inside out.
3. Backtest Like a Scientist
I’d go to historical charts and manually test at least 50-100 trades.
Note down win rate, RR, and the common setups that work best.
4. Journal Every Single Trade
Not just wins and losses - but why I entered, how I felt, what I could improve.
Your trading journal becomes your greatest teacher.
5. Focus on Risk Management from Day 1
No risking 10% on one trade.
I’d stick to 1-2% risk max and aim for minimum
1:2 RR.
6. Learn the Psychology of Trading
Discipline isn’t about being perfect — it’s about
staying aware.
I’d study trading psychology more than technicals.
Why? Because psychology is what makes or breaks most traders.
7. Forget the Money (at least for the first 6 months)
I wouldn’t trade live or expect profits early.
I’d focus on becoming a trader first, and profits would follow.
Delayed gratification is the real edge.
