MAAn EEG test must be completed before we begin treatment. Why EEG is used in autistic children:
1. To check for seizures or epilepsy:
About 20–30% of children with autism also have seizures or abnormal brain activity. An EEG can detect this, even if seizures aren’t obvious.
2. To understand sleep issues:
Sleep disturbances are common in autism. EEGs can help identify irregular sleep patterns or nighttime seizures.
3. To rule out other neurological conditions:
Sometimes behaviors seen in autism may overlap with other brain-related issues. EEG helps clarify if something else is going on.
4. To support brain function assessments:
In some cases, EEG may provide insight into how the brain processes information, reacts to stimuli, or responds to treatments.#Autism #аутизмнеприговор #autismtreatment
