She first started with memorizing letter sounds and then started putting those sounds together! this is the easiest method I have found to teach reading. This is my 5th child who learned how to read by the age of three with easy 5 minutes a day lessons. If you visit my youtube channel you can find many tutorials on how I teach reading. Elemental Phonics is an amazing book that has taught many children to read including those with disabilities. Teaching your child to read doesn’t have to be a long, drawn out process. It doesn’t have to be boring, frustrating, or tedious. With ABC See, Hear, Do, you can spend 1 minute a day on learning to read and you will see progress! How to do this: The book is divided into sections of 4 letters each. Each day, work on one letter sound for 1 minute. Pick a time to do this, so it’s easy to remember, like during breakfast or right before bed. On Day 5, see if your child is ready to blend the sounds together to read a few words. If they are, excellent! Move on to the next batch of four letters the following week. If they don’t recall the letter sounds, repeat the same letter sounds the following week! You can also skip the word pages altogether and practice one letter sound per day until they know all the letter sounds. Then go back and practice one word per day or one word page per day. ABC See, Hear, Do is quick, easy, and versatile. Do what works for you! If you’ve used ABC See, Hear, Do, comment below and tell us how it worked for you!
