JMPrimula comes from the latin word (primus) and it’s meaning is the (first) and it’s in reference to its early blooming! Vialii is in honour of paul vial a French botanist and missionary who collected plants in china where this plant came from.
My own Primula vialii is thriving, giving the perfect growing conditions that it requires you can really see the results!
They require moist but well drained soil, so we mixed some sharp sand and ericaceous compost in with the soil as it was pretty heavy, the compost was to help to lower the ph down to its perfect growing conditions! Primula vialii will thrive best in 5.5 to 6.5ph!
Also perfect here as it’s in part shade and protected from afternoon sun!
