HOWhile Tesla vehicles are generally considered some of the hardest cars to steal due to advanced security features like GPS tracking and Sentry Mode, security researchers and owners have demonstrated vulnerabilities that can be exploited by tech-savvy thieves. The primary methods used to steal a Tesla involve exploiting keyless entry systems or gaining access to the owner's credentials.
Common Theft Methods Demonstrated by Researchers
Relay Attacks: This is a common technique where thieves use radio equipment to capture and amplify the signal from the owner's key fob or phone key (even when inside the owner's home) and relay it to the car, tricking the car into thinking the key is nearby. This allows them to unlock and start the car.
Key Cloning (Older Models): For some older Model S/X vehicles, researchers demonstrated that the key fob's passive RFID tag could be cloned in seconds using specialized equipment.
App Account Hacking: A thief with an owner's Tesla account username and password could potentially log into the app, locate the car, unlock it, and enable keyless driving, especially if multi- factor authentication (MFA) is not enabled on the account.
Third-Party App Misconfigurations:
Vulnerabilities in how third-party apps integrate with Tesla's systems, if misconfigured by the user, could potentially expose sensitive data like location and grant unauthorized access.
Physical Towing: In some cases, thieves simply use a tow truck to physically remove the vehicle from a parking spot, honing to deal with the tracking systems later.

BSEl último Sabado The Exploited se presentó por primera vez en Bogotá (La Estrella Roja), todo transcurría sin sobresaltos pero llegando al final de la presentación Wattie Buchan de 65 años colapsó en el escenario como pueden ver en el video.
Por recomendación médica tuvieron que cancelar los shows programados para el resto de 2022 por lo menos.
La información preliminar indica que el músico tuvo un problema cardíaco, algo con lo que ha lidiado desde hace años. En febrero de 2014 sufrió un infarto durante una presentación en Lisboa.
Afortunadamente Wattie está mejorando y hay que esperar para saber cuándo volverá a los escenarios, hace poco más de una semana se presentaron en Buenos Aires.
