Este último aspecto es fundamental para Yacyretá, por lo cual cuenta con un área silvestre protegida de casi 20.000 hectáreas, así como la Reserva Natural “Bosque Arary” (52 hectáreas), con miles de árboles de esta especie nativa propia de la región donde se encuentra emplazada nuestra Central Hidroeléctrica.

Fiordaliza Paca Antigua falleció este domingo tras permanecer varios días ingresada en estado grave, luego de recibir un disparo en un incidente ocurrido en el sector Mamá Tingó de San Francisco de Macorís, presuntamente a manos de su expareja, Fausto Gil (“Fao”). Antes de morir, la víctima desmintió versiones que circulaban en redes sociales sobre que se encontraba en una cabaña al momento del hecho y aseguró que ya no mantenía relación con Gil, señalando que el conflicto surgió porque él no aceptaba la ruptura. Por el caso, la Oficina Judicial de Servicios de Atención Permanente de Duarte dictó tres meses de prisión preventiva contra el imputado, quien cumple la medida en el CCR Vista al Valle. Gil expresó arrepentimiento y alegó que actuó tras una supuesta agresión, versión que fue negada por la víctima. Con su fallecimiento, el proceso judicial podría cambiar su calificación, en medio de la preocupación por la violencia de género en el país.
