OCBeing a marine biologist can look very different depending on the system you work or specialize in. I work primarily in coastal habitats, don’t scuba for data collection, and do very little lab work. Because I study sea turtles and coastal food webs, most of my time is spent doing fieldwork, deploying tools like biologging devices, and analyzing data using various computer applications and statistical software to better understand sea turtle ecology and the threats they face.
