DEI drew hands every day for 30 days. 😮💨
I didn’t focus on “perfect drawings” — I focused on understanding the structure.
Here’s the method that helped me the most:
1) Start with a simple box for the palm.
Don’t worry about details yet. Just get the angle and perspective right.
2) Add a small wedge for the wrist.
This keeps the hand from looking flat or disconnected.
3) Build each finger as 3 simple segments.
Base → middle → tip.
Use cylinders, not random lines.
4) The thumb is separate.
It comes from the side of the palm, not the top.
5) Check the curve.
Fingertips never line up perfectly straight.
There’s always a subtle arc.
6) Details come last.
Knuckles, nails, and folds are only accents — not the focus.
What changed the most for me was confidence.
Draw faster. Don’t hesitate. Trust your hand.🙌🏽
Mistakes are part of learning — not something to avoid.
If hands are your “final boss” too… you’re not alone.
Just practice a little every day. Progress happens quietly.💪🏽
Save this for your next practice session! 💾✍🏽
