Who knew jeans could make me so delighted? All my handmade pants are more for summer or a full sweat pant… I had been feeling a little bit like I was in a pinch when I needed to attire myself. Let’s just say my previous jeans stash may or may NOT be closing around my waist these days… A shopping date with a beloved bestie @our1909legacy found me with falling in love with these barrel jeans! Oh my, it was love at first sight. At first I resisted because I rarely purchase clothes these days… However… they were meant to be as they are ridiculously comfortable and I don’t feel any middle age lumps and bumps. That’s a feat. AND they pair PERFECTLY with my handmade quilted jacket made from Indian hand blocked cotton and the newly knitted vest! Eeek!!! •Flora jacket• 🌺🌸 En voilà un projet qui partait d’une simple envie de veste douillette pour les soirées d’été et qui s’est transformé en défi créatif ! J’ai commencé par l’achat du tissu matelassé chez @mondialtissus . N’ayant pas de patron en tête j’en ai acheté un peu trop 🙄. Arrivée à la maison, je m’aperçois que ces couleurs ne me vont pas 😒. Bon vu la quantité achetée on va essayer d’en faire quelque chose quand même ! En fouillant sur Pinterest je trouve une inspi qui me plaît beaucoup 🤩 je sort les posca et la peinture textile et je customise les fleurs. On tient quelque chose ! Puis je trouve le patron qui convient le mieux à mon inspi: grandes poches, col qui remonte, coupe large et courte, la veste Flora de @brightsidefabricco 🙌🏼 Quelques modifications pour coller à mon projet, des jolies étiquettes de chez @casa.la.foret et @lapetitemaisoncouture et voici la veste des soirées d’été un peu plus fraîches. J’ai eu quelques galères suite à une pose de pressions qui a échouée et un premier shooting écourté, mais ça fait partie de l’aventure 😜 Alors ça valait la peine de persévérer ?? 😋 #florajacket #floraistwo

It’s bound with bright & fun colourful vintage quilting cotton with contrast scrap denim at the front. I think these wool coats are perfect around the campfire on cool summer nights. (Edit to add - this coat is now sold) Scrolling through the depths of my photo archive and found the video from when I originally got this blanket, back in November! I bought this second hand from a lady who said it had been in a cupboard for a couple of decades but she thought it originally came from Thailand. Cutting it up took a bit of bravery but I’m hoping it can see a lot more daylight as a jacket than it has so far as a blanket. This is for sale in my Etsy shop if you’re interested or send me a private message. 😁 The jacket sewing pattern is the #florajacket by @brightsidefabricco and I made a size Small - but it’s an oversized fit so would fit anything from a uk 8-12 depending on how you like the fit. Measurements are in my previous page and on Etsy.
