Force feedback is what turns a plastic steering wheel into a real driving tool.
It uses motors inside the wheel to push back against your hands based on what the car is doing in the game, simulating grip, weight transfer, curbs, and even snap oversteer.
When the front tires lose traction the wheel goes light, and when you load up into a fast corner it gets heavier, letting you feel the limit instead of just seeing it.
Higher-end direct drive systems deliver sharper, stronger, and more detailed feedback than basic gear or belt-driven wheels.
If force feedback helps you “drive by feel” instead of just reacting visually, could it be the biggest upgrade in sim racing performance?
