To use the Pomodoro technique simply:
1. Set a Timer: Choose a task, then set a timer for 25 minutes (or adjust the focus time based on what works best for you). Work solely on that task. I use a 40-minute focus time, followed by a 5-minute break.
2. Take a Short Break: When the timer rings, take a 5-minute break. Relax or stretch.
3. Repeat: Do another work session (each session is a “Pomodoro”) and another break.
4. Take a Longer Break: After 4 Pomodoros, take a longer 15-30 minute break (or, as I do, a 1-hour break).
