Incredible magic, big laughs and moments that had the kids (and us) completely hooked from start to finish. One of those shows where you’re laughing the entire time. Perfect for families, high-energy, interactive and so much fun, this one is a must-see at Fringe World Festival. Fringe World Perth Night 2 First show of the night was CVNT. Before we even walked in, we saw it was sold out on the schedule board, which already tells you something! It was hilarious, a little uncomfortable to begin with but don’t let that hold you back, my friend and I were in tears of laughter and felt quite liberated afterwards. The show even questions why any of us delay actually living. I get why it’s award-winning. If you’re curious, I totally recommend! @theshowcvnt Then we went to Impromptunes: A Completely Improvised Musical. If you love musicals and comedy, you need this. They take a random title from the audience and build an entire musical from scratch. In our show someone suggested ‘Holy Water Dirty Secrets’ and I’m still smiling about it. I’m trying to make room to see this one again before they wrap. @impromptunes Fringe is properly delivering this year and I’m here for it. I’ve often wondered how Fringe with babies and toddlers could actually work… and Bubba-licious answered beautifully! ✨ We kicked off @fringeworldperth with the opening show of Kat Grey's Bubba-licious — a stress-free, joyful way to experience Fringe with little ones. Created for children aged 6 months–3 years, this 30-minute sensory show is gentle, lively and perfectly paced for tiny attention spans. Inside the Main Hall at Perth Town Hall, the space came alive with: 🫧 bubbles (so many!) 🎈 balloons — including a joyful Keepy Uppy moment 🧸 puppets & shadow play 🎶 familiar nursery rhymes & songs 🦋 butterflies & sharks drifting overhead 🌌 stars twinkling above From the start, parents were reassured — no shushing, no pressure, no expectations. Babies can feed, children are free to move, toilets are close by, pram parking is available and everyone is welcome exactly as they are. The Acknowledgement of Country, followed by the Wanjoo Welcome song in Noongar, set a calm, inclusive tone that carried through the show. Kai (3) — usually very active — was completely engaged from start to finish, watching, listening, popping bubbles and recognising songs. And the sweetest detail? Every child leaves with a balloon from the show. 🎈 Such a simple touch, but a really thoughtful way to end the experience. It’s easy to see why Bubba-licious won Best Kids Show (Adelaide Fringe 2023), with sold-out seasons across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Edinburgh. If you’re curious about introducing your little one to Fringe — this is the perfect first experience! ✨ 🎭 Runs until Sunday 1 February 📍 Perth Town Hall
