Fructose gets a bad reputation in nutrition conversations…
But much of the research showing harm comes from animal studies, where fructose is metabolized very differently than in humans.
Other studies feed people isolated fructose, something that doesn’t exist in nature.
In whole foods, fructose comes paired with glucose, which allows the body to absorb and metabolize it properly.
The real issue isn’t fruit…
It’s ultra-processed foods like soda, donuts, and high fructose corn syrup.
Eat fruit.
Eat honey.
Eat real food.
