Don’t be intimidated, but also don’t try stuffing just any cookie recipe. Thick bakery-style cookies need structure to hold fillings without collapsing, leaking, or spreading flat. That’s why I always start with a base dough and one especially formulated for bakery style cookies!🍪 Once the dough has the right balance of butter, sugar, flour & structure, you can start layering in fun things like fillings and mix-ins without the cookie falling apart or leaking!🫠 These two cookies are perfect examples: 🍫 Baileys Brownie Cookie — rich chocolate dough with a Baileys infused creamy chocolate ganache center 🥨 Guinness Pretzel Snack Cookie sweet, salty, & stuffed with a homemade marshmallow cream inside Same dough foundation same consistent results but two completely different flavors!
