Literally why is a dining chair like $600? I believe a house becomes a home when the time is taken to choose pieces intentionally. Too many times we have rushed out to buy something to fill a space only to not fully love it. I want to choose pieces that will stand the test of time and trends. Mix old and new… too bad our local market place is 👎. I don’t want everything to be from Homesense or Winners. Not that I don’t love to stroll, but overconsumption has been on my mind a lot lately, which is why I want to try and avoid trends. We need a couch, accent chairs, dining chairs, a spare bedframe, rugs, art, patio furniture, night stands. Follow along as I share what I purchase and the why behind it as well. I look at expensive stores like Arhaus, Pottery Barn, and Restoration Hardware and I try to find comparable items for an expensive look without the expensive price… here’s a few examples- the curtains are linen and absolutely gorgeous-the rattan planter is found at so many places, magnolia/pottery barn, yet Walmart has a similar planter for a fraction of the price! The swivel recliner was totally customizable at Coconis Furniture & Mattress 1st and also LOCAL- a lot less money, but also made to your liking, as far as fabrics go. #expensivelook #looksforless #planters #linencurtains
