The Mystery of Hair Whorls #science #hairstyles #genetics I met these researchers at an Ig Nobel Prize event in Paris, where they won an award for their paper “enetic determinism and hemispheric influence in hair whorl formation.” They had studied babies/twins in Paris + Santiago, Chile and found some interesting patterns, but I felt like a much bigger pool of data might help point toward an answer. So l made a super short survey in my Linktree. My thought is that if enough of us fill it out, we might be able to save them the tremendous amount of time and money it would take to gather this kind of global data the traditional way.
