Dekin Hill ’27 of Fort Erie, Ontario, scored on this outstanding diving goal with 2:25 to play to help CHS Lacrosse clinch another comeback victory Thursday evening at Koessler Field at the Stransky Athletic Complex. Canisius trailed, 7-1, in the first half, drew to within 7-5 at halftime and was behind, 8-6, entering the fourth quarter. Hill’s goal made it 11-9. The Crusaders outscored UCC the fourth, 6-1, behind two goals by Julius Schopp ’27 of Grand Island and scores from Hill, Christopher Sweeney ’26 of Ridgeway, Ontario, Wyatt Van Tine ’28 of Hamburg and Nicholas Mete ’28 of Ridgeway, who closed out the game with a goal with 10 seconds to go. Canisius (2-1) was coming off a 10-9 victory at Rush-Henrietta in the Rochester area on Monday, when they stormed back from an early 6-1 deficit and a 7-4 halftime hole before owning the fourth quarter.
