The algorithm exists to preserve itself and capitalizes off the labor of the video’s original creator. The algorithm is your boss, earning more money than it could possibly need, and you are the entry level employee. Provide for the boss, or you will be executed. That’s right, algorithms are out here killing people. This isn’t even part of the metaphor, they’re actually killing people. They shepherd them into tiny rooms full of stuffed animals and old keyboards and dissolve their brains with hyper-advanced tech Mark Zuckerberg brought to Earth when he crash-landed here all those years ago.
