ALI thought OCD meant my life was over, that I would never experience the before, that OCD was the after. I remember feeling like my brain would never function “normally” again, that I would never not have 24/7 rapid fire intrusive thoughts that terrorized me.

There is an after the OCD, too ❤️ I don’t currently meet diagnostic criteria for OCD. I have soooooo much more space in my brain. I don’t experience repetitive intrusive thoughts (I do get them occasionally). I am 97% better. I am writing a memoir about my lived experience with OCD to share with the world.

One of the hardest parts of OCD is feeling like you’ve lost your identity and life forever. You haven’t. It gets better. I needed to see that when I was struggling.
