A single note is made of many parts, not just one sound.
Think of baking a cake.
Flour, sugar, eggs on their own don’t taste like cake.
It’s only when they combine, in the right balance that something recognisable appears.
A voice works the same way.
What we hear as pitch is the fundamental frequency.
What we hear as tone, colour, and power comes from how all the harmonics are balanced.
Together, they’re not just sound
they’re a voice.
But this is where many voice teachers get stuck, knowing what they’re hearing, and what to do with it.
That’s where diagnosis matters.
