EN🇨🇳 How to get a shared bike in China? Let us tell you!
First of all, you need to have Alipay installed to pay for bike rides and use mini-apps ✅
After that, open your Alipay app and find a mini-program for shared bikes. It could be Meituan (yellow bikes), Hello Ride (blue bikes), or Didi (green bikes).
We prefer Meituan because they have plenty of bikes in the city and they offer great deals for bike rentals - we bought a 90-day subscription for just 45 yuan (around 5 euros).
After choosing the app, you’ll need to log in with your phone number (it can be an international one, as long as you can receive SMS), verify your identity by submitting a photo of your passport. The app will verify it within one working day. Sometimes it takes only an hour, sometimes, literally a day.
It might sound a bit complicated at first, but once you’re done with verification, it’ll be super smooth and easy!
