High protein, chicken salad that is actually a regional dish from Tripura Northeast India. Northeast Indian cuisine is so underrated so unique and tasty. Here’s my take on chicken Bharata. Enjoy it as it is or as a salad or sandwich filling. It is traditionally eaten with Roti or rice.
Recipe ( serves 4)
Ingredients
250 g, chicken
10-12 garlic cloves
1 inch Ginger
5-6 green chillies
2 fry red chillies
1 onion
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Handful of chopped coriander leaves
Method
⏺️ Boil chicken with garlic ginger and green chilli. Remove the chicken after 6 mins and boil the left over water and reduce it. We will use this later.
⏺️Dry roast garlic, green chillies, red chillie and pound it in a mortar and pestle
⏺️ Now shred the chicken, add chopped onion, coriander, add the chilli garlic paste, and the left over water.
⏺️ Mix it and enjoy with roti / rice or as a salad or sandwich filling
