In recent interviews (from Davos to podcasts), he predicts we’re 6-12 months away from AI models handling most—if not all—of what software engineers do end-to-end.
His own engineers at Anthropic? Many already don’t write code from scratch anymore. They prompt the model, let it generate, then edit and oversee. “I don’t write any code anymore. I just let the model write the code, I edit it,” he shared.
