EAIn the wake of the Eaton wildfire, many evacuees fled their homes with little more than their phones, making it difficult to complete online forms for assistance, find long-term housing, and access programs offering food and other necessities. Thus arose a coalition of tech companies, headed by @human_i_t, to provide laptops to displaced residents this weekend, in addition to free mobile hotspots and tech support.
Our own Memo Inal, SVP - Director of IT, and Kelly Lin, VP-IT SOX Project Manager II, led the charge for East West to support this effort spearheaded by Thomas Phelps, CIO and SVP of Corporate Strategy at @laserfiche, and Phillip Ramón Leclair, CIO of @cityofpasadena.
Many thanks to the other organizations participating in this event, including @coreresponse, @letsunitela, @laedc and @ymcala!
