ISThe most dangerous enemy is a munafiq (hypocrite) within one's own family. In Islam, a hypocrite is someone who pretends to be loyal, yet harbors intentions that go against their outward appearance, causing distrust and harm. The Qur'an speaks strongly about hypocrisy, as it can destroy relationships, trust, and unity from within. Hypocrisy in close relationships is especially painful, as it breaks the natural bonds of love and sincerity that family should be built upon.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned about hypocrisy, saying: 'The signs of a hypocrite are three: whenever he speaks, he lies; whenever he promises, he breaks it; and whenever he is entrusted, he betrays the trust.' (Sahih Bukhari).
May Allah protect us from hypocrisy in our hearts and in our families and guide us to sincerity and loyalty.
