VIACRONYM:
An acronym is made from the first letters of words and is pronounced like a normal word.
Example: NASA, UNESCO, RADAR
👉 If you can read it like a word, it’s an acronym.
✨ INITIALISM
An initialism is also made from first letters, but you say each letter separately.
Example: FBI, CEO, IPL, USA
👉 If you have to spell each letter while speaking, it’s an initialism.
✨ ABBREVIATION
An abbreviation is any shortened form of a word or phrase.
Usually, we write it short but say the full word.
Example:
Dr. → Doctor
Mr. → Mister
Jan. → January
etc. → et cetera
