How has it already been 2 years since this commission?! This piece was definitely one of the most challenging, yet rewarding works I’ve ever created. Not only did I get to build it with my dad (which made the process super special), but it was also my first time constructing a wooden panel from scratch. Because the LED needed to be drilled directly into the surface, this piece required a completely custom-built canvas. Once the panel was finished, I leaned into a more minimalist version of my signature geometric style so the neon element could really pop. I truly had so much fun with this one and am always grateful for clients who trust my vision and give me the creative freedom to run with it! Neon paint tryptich floral wall art experiment! Part 1 of my new triptych series. I'm starting with the most satisfying base layer. I’m using neon yellow, pink, and orange, but mixing in white to create these smooth, graduated tints. ​There is something so calming about working the vibrant neons into these "electric pastels." It creates a dreamy, soft glow that I can’t wait to layer over. ​Wait until you see how the foreground colors pop against these gradients!
