BRHOW TO DOWNLOOP TRANSITION ⚠️⚠️⚠️ this is arguably the most useful loop trick to learn! It’s super fun and can be used on a huge variety of applications. If you’re a fan of downwinders then it’s an absolute must learn as it will make going downwind much easier. It’s also a very import milestone to conquer before you learn heliloops. Stay tuned because our heliloop series is coming up and it’s going to be epic!
🔵Safety tip: Use a kite 12m or smaller in under 18 knots for your safety.
🟢Key step 1: Start with your kite high in the window to give it plenty of room to loop.
🟢Key step 2: Slow down almost to a stop before pulling—this reduces line tension and makes the loop less aggressive.
🟢Key step 3: pull hard with your front hand (left hand if going left).
🛑Mistakes to avoid: you’re in for a banger if you approach your downloop too fast or by having your kite too low in the window.
✅✅ Key for success: point your board downwind. Don’t fight the loop, go with it!
