RUA Kitfox Speedster stalls just seconds after takeoff in Jennings, Louisiana. The NTSB report says the pilot climbed too steep and didn’t maintain enough airspeed, which pushed the airplane past its critical angle of attack and led to an aerodynamic stall. The roll happened fast and there was no altitude left to fix it.
The pilot survived with serious injuries and later explained he also hit wake turbulence from the aircraft ahead. A reminder that low airspeed and high nose attitude leave zero margin for recovery.
