THKryptonics didn’t just make wheels — they revolutionized them. Way more rebound than anything else at the time, which meant way more speed and leveled skateboarding up in a big way.
When the 1980 crash hit, Kryptonics boards almost disappeared — until Atlantic Skates stepped in and kept them alive through the ’80s with the High Energy line.
The name later ended up in big-box stores, and for a lot of us, that felt like the end. But the original Kryptonics decks are back — faithfully reissued by @brandxskateboards and @kryptonicsskateboards , still run by the same family who saved them in the first place.
