CLThese are my favourite increases - KRL and KLL are so much less fiddly than classic M1L and M1R and the KLL in particular gives an incredibly unnoticeable increase. But they seem not to be used as much. Why?!

JEJoining in the round can leave a gap where the cast on meets.
I cast on one extra stitch so I can close that gap cleanly.
The K2tog becomes the joining round.

TWThe knitted cast on is one of those things that when I first saw it, I was like “Well duh! Why didn’t I think of that?!”
No need to learn anything new. If you know how to knit a knit stitch, you know how to work a knitted cast on 😊
Simply knit into the stitch on the left needle. Then instead of dropping the stitch off, transfer the new stitch back onto the left needle and keep going!

BOOKMARK IT - AHHH I forgot a decrease.
Not going to lie - this happens to me all the time when doing sweater shaping. I put in my decrease as the start of the row, but by the time I’m at the end of the row, I forget. NOW, to avoid that, I use a vertical marking thread at the start of the row, put in my decrease, and then immediately put in a locking stitch marker at the end of the row where I’m supposed ot put in the decrease. This wakes me up.
But . . . there are times when you buzz right past a decrease. No stress, just drop and pop! Drop down and pop in the fix.

THJust discovered a fun easy to make design feature - raised knit stitches!
This is super easy to knit, and creates almost like an i-cord in the middle of round! If you want to knit this in flat in stockinette, then row 2 would be normal purl stitches.
