LETry the Focused Listing instructional strategy:
All you need is a chart paper (each with a visual, concept, or question) & markers (different colors per group)!
1. Post prepared posters around the room.
2. Divide students into the same number of groups as you have posters.
3. Give each group of students the same colored markers.
4. At each poster, groups list related ideas (everyone adds at least 1).
5. At your signal, groups rotate and add their notes to each new poster.
6. Groups return to their original poster → analyze & give a 1-minute summary.
7. Students write a one-sentence summary for each topic.
8. Teacher circulates to clarify, verify, and answer questions.
