how to make your own: Supplies: - leather sheet (I got mine from Amazon) - fabric scissors (made mine dull though oops) - elastic of any color - journals (mine are moleskine) - leather hole punch (~2mm) - hammer - charms (optional) Steps: - make a template (mines 8.5x17in & I eyeballed where the holes would go) - trace it onto your leather with a white pencil - cut it out (I also eyeballed rounded corners) - punch out the holes - thread your elastic through (make it more taught then you think) - insert your journals - add any fun charms / decor And your done! I’ve watched too many tutorials and videos & this is probably the easiest way to make one of these, it took me roughly an hour and I’m so happy with it! #leather #leatherjournal #diy #diyleatherjournal #craft #crafty #doityourself #journal #moleskinejournal #journalcharms #journaldiy #travelersjournal #notebook

I finally made DIY Louise Carmen inspired leather journal📕 I’ve added the template I made for A5 notebooks to my bio for your convenience. The full list of materials i used: -leather (minimal size 23x43cm, I purchased a piece with 2mm thickness) -A5 notebooks and journal pockets -grommet kit -elastics (1mm or 2mm) -ruler -cutter -hummer -charms -round punch cutter for leather (diameter 2cm, but if you don’t want to get it, you can round your edges with scissors) The process is very fun and it’s practically impossible to stop on one journal cover, so I made more! New technique! As I already showed in the story, I'm working on binding with ribbons. I used to know how to do it, but I've forgotten a lot. In this video, I tried a new cover technique, and it wasn't easy at all. I found it very difficult. The result is okay, and I think the embossed cover is beautiful. Would you like to know how to do this type of binding? And this time, unfortunately, the nails and the book don't match (and it bothers me a little^^) Neue Technik! Wie ich in der Story bereits gezeigt habe, über ich die Bindung mit den Bändern. Ich konnte sie schonmal und hab ganz viel vergessen. In diesem Video habe ich aber eine neue Covertechnik probiert und sie fiel mir gar nicht leicht. Ich fand es sehr schwer. Das Ergebnis ist okay und das Cover mit der Prägung finde ich wunderschön. Möchtest du wissen, wie man diese Bindung herstellt?
