LUTurning 30 this year, I gifted myself something I had been dreaming about for years… my Open Water Diver certification 🤿!
5 years ago I did a Discover Scuba Dive in Coron! I remember surfacing from that dive feeling something shift inside me. Like I had discovered another world I knew I would return to one day.
As an Aquarius, technically an air sign, you would think my element is the sky… but I have always felt most alive submerged in water.
Over the past few years I travelled the world, but somewhere along the way I lost pieces of myself. I was travelling in a relationship that slowly pulled me further away from who I truly was. When you move constantly, when you’re building memories in new places with someone, it can become easy to forget where you end and the relationship begins.
When that chapter ended, I realised I had to learn how to travel again.
This time on my own… and with people I truly love.
Not to escape life, but to rediscover it.
Diving became something deeper than a hobby.
It became a way to come back to myself.
Underwater everything slows down.
The noise disappears.
Your breath becomes your anchor.
Somewhere between the surface and the silence, I remembered what it felt like to fall in love with life… and with myself again.

SAFreediving session 1 done 🩵
We had a 2 hour dive session in Barracuda Lake in Coron, Philippines and it was so so good.
I was teaching Wave 1 students at @deep.week and I was honestly so proud of them. You could already see the progress… body positioning getting better, relaxation on point, and we even did a little fun dive at the end.
I just love teaching freediving, especially to students who are completely new to the sport. Seeing that moment when it clicks for them is the best feeling.
This is my 7th time teaching at @deep.week , but my first time in the Philippines and I absolutely love it here.
And it feels extra special to be back in the water after my surgery back in Switzerland. There was a moment where I didn’t know if I would feel the same again… so being here now just makes me feel really grateful.
Grateful that this is my job.
Grateful that I get to share this with others.
We still have one more spot left for our Aguas Claras freediving retreat in Menorca
