One of the first things I noticed wasn’t the scale. It was my face. The puffiness. The inflammation. That tired, swollen look that wouldn’t go away no matter how “healthy” I was being. For a long time I thought it was just weight. Or stress. Or aging. Have you heard of “inflammaging”? It’s low-grade, chronic inflammation that quietly speeds up aging. And for me, it wasn’t random. Autoimmune stuff. Hormone shifts. Years of pushing my body too hard. My body was holding onto it and my face was telling on me. That’s when I stopped trying harder and started supporting my body at a cellular level. As I started supporting my body differently, not pushing but actually healing, I started to see me again. Less puffy. More defined. More awake. More like myself. This is something no one really talks about. Sometimes healing shows up in your face before it shows up anywhere else.
