PAA lot of people are under the assumption that bending your elbows on chest flies makes the movement pointless to do if you are already doing a chest press.
In my opinion that thinking is flawed because outside a dumbo fly if you’re doing a machine or cable fly, you’re getting resistance going across the chest instead of only directly downwards on a pressing motion.
On top of that by bending your elbows on a chest fly, you’ll likely be able to handle more weight and minimize elbow pain and be more lengthened position
