SHIf you’ve dealt with working malinois then you know they’re not fans of being man handled by strangers. I used to have to muzzle slim but since @petsnvetschinohills let’s me help them I no longer need to. This makes it much less stressful for my dog.
I don’t expect my dog to be great with strangers handling him. But I do expect him to allow me to handle him even in ways he might not enjoy. Cuz of this I’m able to avoid sedating him for things that don’t require sedation.
Now there definitely are some dogs that behave much better when the owner isn’t present so I’m aware that it is better to take the dog away from the owner.
The laughs are just a bonus! This vet has always taken care of me and my boys.
Slim was here to get a small growth tested to make sure nothing major is going on. I’ll have the results in a couple days.
