This — Don’t MISS it 👇 Getting your groceries here is just ✨something else ✨ but this is actually a REGULAR (just very pretty) SUPERMARKET in Sofia. This is the Central Sofia Market Hall. 💚 It was built where the largest market in the city once lay (and, interestingly, in a key place for the ANCIENT ROMAN city - you can still see the Roman ruins on the -1 level today) and completed in 1911. 🎉 After falling into a… less than perfect state, it was renovated and REOPENED IN 2024 with an exterior + interior that preserve as much as possible the original design. {Travelling to Sofia? We share daily tips + info to enjoy the city and Bulgaria in general. FOLLOW along for more 🩵} The new market is a Kaufland so it has all the REGULAR GROCERIES for a pretty affordable price (shoutout @kauflandbulgaria 😄). There is also a -1 level where CULTURAL EVENTS happen (peep the dedicated @the.central.hall Instagram for a weekly program). 💸 There is also a FREE EXHIBITION of Roman artifacts. You can see the excavation work, too, and take a VR walk into the Roman city (it costs 5lev/2.5€ but it’s really worth it). 📚There is also a BOOKSTORE (mostly children’s books, but not only) with the most magical vibes - complete with a wishing tree and other fantasy details 🥹 And there are other stores, too - two different sweets spots even and we highly recommend getting a cake and just resting/people watching at Nedelya on the upper level 🍭🍬 Bottom line: be sure to include this supermarket in your Sofia itinerary + SAVE this reel to remind you 🩵 #sofiabulgaria #sofiabulgaria🇧🇬 #markethall #supermarkets #easterneuropetrip

Market Hall Victoria is just that, with 7 dif — I do love me a good food hall where I can find loads of great places all under one roof! 🍔🍟🥟🍜🍛🍤🌯 Market Hall Victoria is just that, with 7 different food vendors, and 3 of them being fully halal, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s cravings. You’ve already seen my post on @gopalscorner and how much I enjoyed it 😍 check out my full review on my previous reel if you haven’t already! Been meaning to try @butchies_london for a hot sec and the fried chicken did not fail me. It’s kinda like a pimped up version of KFC 🍗 Finally the shrimp dumplings from @baozi_inn were gorgeous as well! Perhaps would’ve liked something in the filling to accompany the shrimp but the chilli oil added that extra kick 🥟 Really enjoyed everything I ate here and wish I could’ve tried more but the food baby was a bit mad at that point 😭 but good news, market hall on oxford street is reopening tomorrow and another one in Canary Wharf is opening soon too! Excited to see the food range there 🙌🏼 📍Market Hall Victoria 🍗 Gopal’s corner, Butchies and Fanny’s kebabs are full halal.
