UAHackRF PortaPack Antenna Ports Explained (Bottom vs Top)
If you’ve ever looked at the bottom and top antenna ports on your HackRF PortaPack H4M and wondered what the difference is — this breaks it down fast.
We’re covering which port is your main transmit and receive antenna, which one is the external clock input, and what the top connector actually does. A lot of people think there are multiple RF chains — but that’s not how it works.
Simple. Clear. No confusion.
If screen is facing you:
• 🔝 Top SMA = RF ANT (Main TX/RX)
• 🔻 Bottom Left = 10 MHz CLK IN
• 🔻 Bottom Right = 10 MHz CLK OUT
Always use responsibly and only transmit where legally permitted.
