This sediment can lead to excessive compression, tension, or friction on the tissues, ultimately affecting joint stability and mobility. For example, consider the compression on the back of your thighs from prolonged sitting or the strain on your neck and shoulders from constantly looking down at your laptop or phone. In the context of MELT, we refer to this accumulated sediment as ‘stuck stress.
