My first app design I made by scanning existing apps again & again & again, taking the best from them & merging them into smth new. So I was designing looking at the best examples. Researching & replicating, merging & improving. The best tool for that - Mobbin. It’s a huge time saver and a great research tool. Designing based on real products instead of unrealistic designs on X is one of the best approaches you can take for your Design career. Designing the home dashboard for Lily, an AI transcription meeting companion app! 🌸👻 When creating a cohesive design system, the home page needs to balance functionality with brand personality. Here's my process: 1️⃣ Research phase using Mobbin to analyze dashboard layouts 2️⃣ Figuring out what users need most: recent meetings & frequently used folders 3️⃣ Adding personality with illustrations of Lily (the ghost mascot) 4️⃣ Design decisions: • Adding playful shadows and gradients • Creating visual hierarchy with spacing • Keeping the UI breathable with generous whitespace • Adding a bold CTA that stands out • Organizing the navigation for intuitive use What I love most about this project is how we balanced professional functionality with playful brand elements.
