ZHIntroducing one of my favorite mosques ever, the Cambridge Central Mosque. It is Europe's first eco-friendly mosque designed by the architecture firm @marksbarfield whose work includes the London Eye.
My favorite part about this mosque is the garden that you walk through at the entrance, where there are benches surrounding the water fountain and under the shade. My second favorite part is the high forest canopy-like ceiling that allows plenty of natural light through the large oculi, and the third is the soundproof space in the women's area where mothers with young children who'd love to visit the mosque can freely do so without the worry if disturbing other practitioners.
@cambridgecentralmosque has been on my bucket list for a long time now and I am extremely grateful that Allah gave me the chance to visit what I consider to be one of the most innovative mosques ever. I urge everyone to read about it because it deserves so much recognition for its masterful design.
