And no, it wasn’t passive, easy, or overnight (unlike what a lot of people on social media would like you to believe…). It was a grind and we worked our butts off to get here. 😮‍💨 A couple of things haven’t panned out (yet). Affiliate marketing - $3 lol. UGC - $115. OK not exactly salary-replacing money. 😆 But what did work was going all-in on digital products: - $25,592 from our first-ever digital course - $6,138 from our 15-day business launch guide - $537 in pre-sales for my storytelling course launching in January And here’s the part that people don’t tell you: The hardest part isn’t creating the product or packaging up your services. The hardest part is finding your buyers. You don’t just spend 2 hours on Canva and ChatGPT and then just sit back and watch your buyers flood in. Figuring out how to find and connect with the people you’re trying to help takes strategy, testing, and a system that turns content into customers. Fortunately, that’s what my husband and I do. Between us, we have 30+ years of marketing experience and we packaged up the exact system we used to build this funnel into a playbook for small creators who want to turn their content into customers, intentionally. Just make sure it’s super specific, something that’s validated by your audience, and solves a problem. Then you include soft promotions in your regular content And you’ll have real creator income that will make you money even when you sleep just by creating the content you already make. Write a guide. Sell mentorship. Post. Pitch. Celebrate one sale. Then wake up the next day and start chasing the next buyer again 😩 And don’t get me wrong… it works. But it can also get exhausting. Because once someone buys… that sale is done. Income resets. So lately I started looking outside the usual digital marketing bubble. And I realized something kinda wild. There are creators monetizing their social media by promoting things tied to real-life experiences people already spend money on anyway. Not information. Not courses. Not guides. And the way the income works is completely different. Instead of one sale and starting over… the structure can stack. Recurring income. Bonuses. Incentives as things grow 👀 When I saw how the model actually worked I literally thought: “Wait… why aren’t more creators doing this?” 🤣 So now I’m experimenting with positioning my content in a completely different niche with a different monetization structure. I had wanted to start for YEARS. But I was scared. Scared of looking cringe. Scared of what people would think. Scared of failing publicly.
