BRNANO BROWS TIPS ✨
For crisp strokes, we all know that you have to use light pressure & keep your needle at 90 degrees to the skin, right?
Some artists use a faster speed & can tattoo a beautifully saturated, single stroke in one single movement.
Some artists use a slower speed & create strokes with softer, etch-like movements.
Grasping your technique is only ONE piece of the puzzle.
The other pieces of the puzzle?
1. Do you understand your machine? What kind of machine are you using? What stroke length is your machine? Why are you using this stroke length for this particular client’s skin? Do you understand the difference between stroke length and needle hang? What voltage are you using for your technique? Why are you using it? How slow/fast is your hand-speed in correlation with your voltage? Why is this important?
2. Do you understand your needle/cartridge? What grouping are you using? What size/diameter are you using? What taper length are you using? Why is all of this important?
3. Do you understand your pigment/ink? Is it organic? Is it inorganic? Is it an organic-hybrid? Why did you choose it? How did you choose it? Do you modify your base color? Do you dilute? Why or why not?
If you don’t understand the theory behind your machine, needle, & inks, you aren’t doing it right!!
