If you struggle with negative thoughts, this one is for you. It’s okay if the thoughts still come. They don’t mean you’re failing. They’re just old patterns trying to hold on. What matters is that you notice them... and choose again. You’re not your thoughts. You’re the awareness behind them. #takeyourpowerback #mindsetshift #energyalignment #manifestation #innerpower #selfawareness

Your brain is not broken. It’s just been trained. Most people think negative thought loops mean something is wrong with them. But in neuroscience, repetitive thinking is usually an attention-training problem, not a personality flaw. Your brain runs an attention algorithm all day long. Whatever you engage with repeatedly becomes what your brain learns to prioritize. Three major brain systems are involved in this: The salience network decides what is important. The default mode network builds ongoing stories about your life. The dopamine reward system reinforces whatever you focus on. When worry gets repeated attention, these systems start working together. Your brain marks those thoughts as important and begins scanning for more of them. That’s how negative thought loops form. Not because life is worse. But because your brain learned that worry equals engagement. The good news is that this system is highly trainable. When you deliberately focus on appreciation or positive meaning, even for a minute, you trigger dopamine and shift how the salience network tags information. Over time, the brain begins to deliver more of what it has been trained to notice. This simple exercise is one of the fastest ways to interrupt mental rumination and retrain your brain’s attention patterns. You don’t need to fight your mind. You just need to train the algorithm it’s running. We never overthink about positive outcomes. When you’re overthinking, you’re overthinking because you’re running endless negative scenarios. You are never running endless positive scenarios. You never wake up going, “my company’s gonna make too much money. Oh my gosh, my relationship’s gonna go too well. I can’t believe it, I’m gonna get too healthy.” We’re never overwhelmed by positive scenarios. We’re always overwhelmed by negative scenarios. And so I started looking at this, okay, what’s going on in the sense of the internal world of us human beings? Here’s what happens: we fall into negative patterns, but we have to move into positive patterns. You do not fall into positive patterns. You do not fall into positive thoughts. You have to MOVE into positive thoughts. You have to move into positive behavior. So if you’re going to bring negative emotions, all you have to do is just slip into it and fall into it.

🧠 The Hidden Damage of Negativity Your thoughts physically shape your brain — for better or worse. ⚠️ The problem: • We just published a huge study on negativity bias • Constant negative thinking weakens your frontal lobes — the part of the brain responsible for focus, planning, and decision-making • Over time, your brain literally becomes wired to expect the worst 🌅 The fix: Positivity Bias Training • Start your day with: “Today is going to be a great day.” • End your day with: “What went well today?” • These simple statements reprogram your brain to search for what’s right • Your brain becomes a problem-solver — for good, not just survival ✨ It’s not magic, it’s mechanics • Do we believe in manifestation? Not in the woo-woo way. • But telling your brain what you want? That’s neuroscience. • Your brain will start looking for ways to make it true. 🧩 Bottom line: Train your brain like you train your body. Shift your focus → Shift your life. 🗣️ Speakers: @steven @doc_amen 🎵 Music: Emile Mosseri - Jacob and the Stone 🎬 Video: @thediaryofaceopodcast Contact us for credit or removal requests (no copyright intended) ©️ All rights and credits reserved to the respective owner(s).

How To Reframe Negative Thoughts… 1. Is this thought true? Is it absolutely true? Examples: “No one really likes me.” “I’m a failure.” “There is no hope for me.” “I’ll always be this way.” Etc These thoughts are a reaction from a place or trauma that you are now projecting into & onto yourself, others, & you future. Find the true facts, not the tainted opinion. 2. How do I react to this thought? Does it bring me down? Does it instill fear? Does it instill guilt or shame? Am I worried about the future or am I ripping myself because of the past? If this is your reaction (or something like it) you are reacting from a place of hurt / wound. Understanding that the reality this thought is creating is actually false, is a great place to begin the healing process. 3. Who am I without this thought? A lot of time with negative thoughts, not only do we think it but we also embody it. It becomes our identity. “I’m anxious. I’m broken. I’m fill in the blank.” Without this thought we can begin to understand who we actually are. 4. How can I reframe this thought? This is where you dig deep down, consider all you’ve thought through in the last 3 questions and make a decision to believe the positive. Believe the best about you. Be kind to yourself. Realize you aren’t these negative thoughts. Being reflective and aware can really help you begin to pinpoint when you are buying into something that isn’t true at all. From there, this will lead you to the root of it all. The place this thinking originates from. Usually from childhood and trauma. This is then the place you can talk to a therapist / trusted person and begin to work through the genesis of this thought process. Love you guys! You are what you THINK! @byron.katie

How to change negative thoughts👇🏽 1. write it down and choose one to replace it with 2. ask yourself ‘would I say this to my best friend?’ 3. go for a quick walk 4. put your favourite song on and dance 5. use a thought jar. Physically putting a thought in something helps your brain to let it go 6. realise it’s just a thought. You don’t have to believe it. 7. ask the thought questions. Like is it true? 8. Give the thought resilience. So if you’re saying I’m not good enough, add ‘yet’ or ‘but I’m trying’ These are some very effective ways to start rewiring the negative thoughts. If you want to learn more 2 ways I can help: - comment ‘BOOK’ to get a link to the book Visualise. It teaches you how to rewire your brain with visualisation. - I’m hosting a live event in London on Tuesday 8th with Samsung to celebrate. Struggling with negative thoughts? WATCH THIS…✨⁣⁣ During times of uncertainty (hello 2021 - and basically all of 2020 for that matter!), it’s all too easy to become consumed by negative thinking patterns. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As humans we have a negativity bias which is a cognitive distortion that leads us to pay more attention to negative stimuli and become consumed by negative things (including things that originate in our minds)…⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And when this happens, it can become really challenging to know what to do. It can impact your sleep, your relationships, your overall mood and your ability to function, not to mention your health (both mental and physical).⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It’s also very easy to start to feel like you are ‘CHOICELESS’ - that you’re POWERLESS to do anything about it. You feel like you don’t have any control, and this can magnify feelings of overwhelm, frustration and anxiety.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ One strategy to help you feel a greater sense of ‘power’ over your life and your thoughts is to shift your thinking to WHAT IS WITHIN YOUR CONTROL. What’s within your sphere of influence? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And then, of course, you take action.💪⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Now, this doesn’t mean you deny what you’re experiencing. It doesn’t mean you distract yourself and never face your emotions. It simply means acknowledging your state, but not ‘becoming’ your state. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Taking action could mean asking for help. It could mean seeking professional support. lt also could mean speaking up at work, going for a walk when you feel overwhelmed, deep-breathing, prayer & meditation, taking a nap, setting a boundary… ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ By reminding yourself that you DO have power (and priming more of an ‘internal locus of control’), you will start to FEEL more powerful, and action can help you manage and navigate through your experience. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What do you struggle most with when it comes to negative thoughts? 👇⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣
