YYWelcome to the first stop in the CBE School Spotlight Series!
🌟 Today, we’re thrilled to highlight the Niitsitapi Learning Centre and their newest addition, the Elbow River Healing Lodge. In partnership with @albertahealthservices, this wellness clinic brings holistic and primary health care directly to NLC students and families.
Join Principal Tracy Rand as she shares a first-hand look at how the Lodge is supporting well-being and embracing the Blackfoot value of iikakimat — persevering through life’s storms. This powerful vision, over eight years in the making, is a testament to determination, bravery, and the impact of community partnership.
Niitsitapi Learning Centre focuses on early intervention for First Nation, Métis and Inuit students aged 3 to 7, providing a strong academic foundation in a learning environment that reflects and nurtures Indigenous identity through a holistic, strength-based, early learning approach. NLC is a culturally responsive, lifelong learning environment that nurtures mind, heart, body and spirit, and prepares Indigenous students to live in balance with both worlds.
