GENo, loose skin doesn’t just “snap back.”
And no, building muscle won’t magically “fill it in.”
I get this comment all the time like it’s some easy fix. When you gain a lot of weight, your skin stretches to fit your body. Over time, that stretched skin adjusts to that size. It’s not like a rubber band.. it doesn’t just shrink perfectly once the weight is gone.
Even if you lift, even if you build muscle, that doesn’t replace skin. Sure, muscle can help your body look more toned and fill out certain areas, but it’s not a cure. Loose skin depends on how long you carried the weight, how much you lost, your genetics, your age, and how fast the weight came off. None of that is fixed by “just lifting.”
And honestly, loose skin isn’t a bad thing. It’s a reminder of where I’ve been and how far I’ve come. I’d take this skin over the body I once felt trapped in any day.
So no.. it’s not about not working hard enough. It’s biology. It’s real life. And it’s NORMAL ✨✨💋
