WII still remember the first time I opened a @notperfectlinen package and felt the high quality linen in my hands. Up till this point I had always loved fashion but I was filling my closet with items I often impulse purchased from fast fashion sites. I had a closet full of clothes yet I struggled to put outfits together when it was time to leave the house.
When I tried on that first @notperfectlinen skirt and wrap top I thought “oh no” because I thought “this is me now”, I didn’t want clothes that don’t feel this good anymore and that meant I had to change my buying habits!
Besides the fact that @notperfectlinen is one of those few brands that doesn’t greenwash or use fluff words like sustainability without actually being able to back it up, their clothes just make me feel so good and excited to put together my outfits!
I’ve realized it’s 100% worth it to save up for these special pieces. They also hold their worth so if for some reason I grow out of a piece I can find it a new home. There is a really wonderful Facebook group where we buy sell trade and chat all things NPL! When I outgrew fast fashion pieces I was always at a loss because there wasn’t much of a market to find them a new home.
The cost of high quality and ethically made clothes helps to slow me down from making impulse purchases. I am thinking far more into the future and choosing more classic cuts that outlast microtrends. I want the clothes I pick to be able to withstand wear for many years!
The 3 pieces from the new @notperfectlinen spring collection were kindly gifted to me. I have paired these pieces with other NPL pieces I’ve invested in as well as some thrifted items and organic cotton pieces from @adornedorganics
My shoes are all barefoot style from @softstarshoes and @wildling.shoes
I am 5’10” and about 155-160lbs which by the way I tend to fluctuate and these clothes are so forgiving and work with me when I go up and down through the year! And I also appreciate being able to ask for modifications like adding buttons to my dress because I am in a season of nursing!
